V-day ideas for my boyfriend? Details inside....help please!

My boyfriend: we fit each other perfectly and we're comfortable and open with each other. We always have fun, joke around, and RARELY argue(if we do it lasts 2 minutes, then we kiss and make-up). We've been going out almost a year and things are really serious. We're both positive we're going to be together forever.
So I'm having trouble thinking of a valentine's gift. We're going to a local fair on the actual day. He loves playing guitar, so I just ordered some heart-shaped guitar picks. I also have a postcard that I'm going to write a love letter on. However, I want to get him something else as well. I don't have a ton of money but I'm artistic. It's too late to really order anything else online, but I'm open to any ideas.
About him: He doesn't really like cake or cookies, which sucks because I'm excellent at baking. He's leaving for national guard training in July for 7 months. He loves music and playing guitar. He likes mexican food.
Ideas, please?

If he likes Mexican food then cook him up a really nice Valentines dinner. Rice & beans, heart shaped quesedillas (use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out tortilla hearts), flautas, there's so much you can do with that.
Get him a nice guitar strap maybe. Make him a little gift basket with small guitar accessories like strings, the picks you got, a polishing cloth, & little things like that.
