5. The Locals

Despite the influx of tourists to Menorca in recent years, the island still retains a traditional island charm. Cala Galdana is blessed with some stunning natural surroundings that are a delight to explore on foot. The striking cliffs and lush pinetrees form the perfect backdrop to the beach itself, but the most memorable part of the landscape is the Algendar Gorge, a jaw dropping river bed with eighty foot cliffs on either side that provides the keen walker with a wonderful day of walking.
